Sydney Supper Club

Foodforthought

eat well. eat together.

A small group sits down at a Sydney restaurant most of us have not been to before. Each table is built around one concept. A thread that is gently tugged throughout the meal, unravelling into a beautiful conversation. Share a meal and a bit of yourself.

Daily Reflection / Today's Morsel

The beginning is the most important part of the work.
Greek — Plato, Republic

Sydney Supper Club is not for profit. You simply pay a share of the total cost of the table. We aim to give an indicative price beforehand, though it may vary with the final numbers and the room.

The Table Nomos: a few gentle rules

  1. Have fun.
  2. Find out who people are, not what they are.
  3. Work/shop talk is banned unless it becomes funny, strange, or genuinely interesting.
  4. Make room. Pull quieter people into the conversation.
  5. Phones down between courses. Ask before photos.

The Table Nomos

Νόμος/Nomos

Nomos means law, custom, convention, or social order. For our table, it means a few gentle rules for making dinner feel more human.

1.Have fun.
2.Find out who people are, not what they are.
3.Work/shop talk is banned unless it becomes funny, strange, or genuinely interesting.
4.Make room. Pull quieter people into the conversation.
